The cave of Saint Gerasimos in Lassi (Located 5 mins from Argostoli)

This tiny cave is where the patron saint of Kefalonia lived for 5 years when he first arrived on Kefalonia.

With it's own fresh water supply and stunning views out towards the Paliki peninsular part of the island one can only imagine what life would have been like on the island when he first arrived in 1555. Now a small church has been built into the rock face next to the cave dedicated to St Gerasimos. We have visited the church many times over the years and you can still see the small cave where he spent his time when he first arrived.
