Sami is a place that we are very fond of.

 

This relaxed resort was the birth place for our love of Kefalonia as it was our home for two weeks on our first visit to this magical island back in 2009. Sami has lots to offer, from its long white pebbled beach to the acropolis of ancient Sami high above the modern village with ruins of a time long ago. Apart from it's harbour front tavernas and lazy beaches it is also just a few minutes drive from the popular beach of Antisamos. Sami was home to a lot of the filming for the Hollywood movie Captain Corelli's Mandolin.

 

We still make a point of visiting Sami on every trip to the island for our evening meal, no matter where we are based, catching up with old friends that we have made over the years.
