Another one of our favourite beaches and with it's soft golden sand it is a big hit with the children too.

This beach is ideal for children, golden sands and endless light blue waters this beach is a must visit. The waters are warm and shallow and stay like this for quite a long way out. Makris Gialos is a very popular beach and it can get quite busy during the peak season. We have spent many fun filled family hours here over the years with our family, the children playing in the sea and building sandcastles on the beach. There is ample parking above the beach, and a walk down the hill to access it. After a little walk through the pine forest down to the beach there are many sun loungers to choose from, showers, toilets and the lovely beach front taverna supplying great food right the way across the beach. Watersports are available here, jet skis, pedalo's, paddle boards and all other water based activities are available throughout the summer months.

Whether you are a family or just a couple this beach is a great place to spend some relaxing time soaking up the sun while having clear Ionian waters to take a dip and cool off.
