Join Captain Grigoris (Gregory) and his crew for a unique and magical experience in the crystal blue water of Kefalonia Greece and feel the wellness & peace that only the waters of the Ionian Sea can provide!
Experience traditional Greek fishing while traveling to private beaches only reachable by boat. Locations may include: The idyllic ancient island of Vardiani (aka Rabbit Island), which is located southwest of Argostoli and south of Lixouri. The heavenly White Rocks Beach with its tall cliffs, white beaches, and crystal blue waters. The famous Xi Beach of Lixouri, which has unique rock formations around the beaches.
Our adventure begins at 8:30 in the morning from the port of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. We are the only fishing trip boat service in the port of Argostoli – located just left of the famous “I Love Kefalonia” sign. Captain Grigoris and crew will welcome you with coffee and tea upon boarding the fishing boat. We also offer a sunset trip that is available daily starting from 5:30 in the afternoon.
After we leave the port, you can help with the fishes and prawns caught from the nets the night before. Up-close, you will have the opportunity to learn the traditional and unique fishing techniques of a professional Greek fisherman. When you see the fish coming from the nets, you will feel satisfaction having also increased your understanding and awareness of the fisherman’s lifestyle.
Then, explore the dazzling beaches that can only be accessed by private boats. There will plenty of time for you to sunbathe, swim, snorkel, and explore the beautiful blue waters of the Ionian Sea.
Next, we celebrate the trip with specially-prepared Greek traditional meals for lunch using the catches of the day as the main course. While you relax, we prepare your meal using our own local ingredients, including olive oil, bread, vegetables, and (of course) our fresh fish and prawns. Also, experience the traditional homemade Kefalonian wines from our family. After the meal, we will offer traditional desserts and the fruits from our family garden.
